Wordbiz for Linux

If you already have a previous version installed you must close the program before starting the installation. WordBiz 1.7 will install over your previous version.

Download WordBiz 1.8 for Windows
WordBiz is a Windows program that allows you to play scrabble on ISC server using a graphical interface.

CLICK HERE then select 'Run this program from its current location', click 'ok'. This will download and install WordBiz 1.8 on your computer.

When you start the WordBiz program (either by double clicking on the icon, or running it from the Start menu), you should get a connection menu. If you have not registered on the ISC, click 'Register' button to create an account. Otherwise, enter your ISC name and password, click 'Connect'.

NOTE: If the program doesn't start when you try to run it you will need to install Microsoft Java VM.

Download Sound Update ( 4.5 Mega )
Sound Update is an optional download. It will install more sound files in the WordBiz folder. Without this download when someone is sending you a sound you will hear a bell sound.

CLICK HERE, then select 'Run this program from its current location', click 'ok'. This will download and install WordBiz Sound Update on your computer

Microsoft Java Virtual Machine
Microsoft Java VM is no longer distributed with Windows. If the program doesn't start when you try to run it you will need to install Microsoft Java VM.
If you get an error message "Unable to start application. Invalid class resource. Unexpected failure" remove Java Virtual Machine first.

Install Microsoft Java VM

1. Click the following link to download Microsoft VM
2. Execute msjavx86.exe file on your computer.
3. Install VM following the installation and reboot.

Remove Microsoft Java Virtual Machine

1. Select Start > Run
2. Enter RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection java.inf,UnInstall in the Open box, and click OK Click Yes to confirm that you want to remove the Microsoft VM.
3. When prompted, reboot the computer.

Update Microsoft Java Virtual Machine

Update your VM on Windows Update because this is not a latest program. Select such a program as "Microsoft virtual machine (Microsoft VM)".
