DICTIONARIES

The dictionaries available on ISC are :

• TWL98 - 169,092 words - the American dictionary, based on the Official Scrabble Players' Dictionary , used in North American and Canadian tournaments.

• SOWPODS - 216,553 words - based on the OSPD and Official Scrabble Words. It is used in the World Scrabble Championships in the British and in the Australia, New Zealand, Malta and Emirates tournaments.

• ODS - 364,370 words - L’Officiel du Scrabble , it is used in the World Scrabble Championships in French.

• LOC2000 - 536,708 words - Lista Oficiala de Cuvinte 2000 , folosit in limba romana.

• SWL - 271,754 - The official Scrabble Word List 2002 for dutch language.

• PARO - 598,848 - italian dictionary , an unofficial word list. There is no official scrabble dictionary for italian language.

• MULTI - 495,114 words - a combination of those dictionaries with any word bigger the nine letters removed. The set of letters and their values is based on letters frequency in this dictionary.
